"Camp has changed my life. Before I went to camp, I was still dug deep in my sins, but as soon as I got there, I felt something about the atmosphere that made me feel safe. The people around me were so accepting, and understanding. I had never felt more welcome in my life. Each day we had worship, and for most of the days they played a song called "Always forever" by Phil Wickham, and each time it was played I would cry. I had never worshiped that passionately in my life. I made so many friendships at camp, and even found new strength for old friendships. God really worked at that place and I can still feel him working, even now that I am at home. Thursday night, after we had another worship and devotional, I felt so compelled to just go up to each person In the room and tell them something I loved about them, or how they have inspired me with their God given talent, or how beautiful God made them. Tears were shed, laughter was shared, smiles and hugs all around. All night people were just encouraging each other and loving each other so intensely. I had completely forgot the reason I went to that camp in the first place by Thursday night. Friday morning it came back to me. I still had a show to do... God called to me and said “Go out there and give this show every last ounce of your energy, and Ill provide the rest", so that's exactly what I did and that's exactly what happened. Even Friday, I was still going around to encourage people before (and during...) the show. That passion to spread the love stayed with me, and is still with me as I sit here on my computer. Finally, as the show was drawing to a close and Mark was singing "Any dream will do", All the brothers on stage left wrapped their arms around each other. There I was, on stage before a crowd, and the love still didn't stop flowing. I cried. I cried hard. After the show, I had lost almost all words. All I could do was just hug people and say thank you. I have never been more happy in my life. I am no longer running to sin, but I'm running to Christ's arms. I have never been closer to God in my life, and that is all because the people at camp who changed my life forever."
