People seem to be congratulating me a lot lately.

Congratulations on your wedding
This could very easily lead to me developing a gigantic ego problem, falsely believing that I am a very impressive human who has accomplished a great deal. However, it’s becoming clear to me that achieving your goal is not the end of the road. I’m slowly learning that with each “accomplishment”, a new risk or challenge is born.
Reaching a Kickstarter goal really just means that now you’re faced with the challenge of actually completing your project.
Publishing a book means you’re now faced with the challenging of selling it.
And I’m sure that getting married, while bringing about unbelievable joy, also brings about far more challenges that I am currently aware of.
Maybe this is why so many of us are not nearly as afraid of failure as we are of success, because we know, deep down, that each success brings us to a whole new level of challenges.
When I hear, “Congratulations”, I don’t hear, “You did it.”
To me, “Congratulations” means, “Keep going.”
