One downside of working this way, is that my e-mails provide no way to automatically unsubscribe yourself from the list. Yes, you read that right. I call this a disadvantage.
I understand that my blog is not for everyone, and believe it or not, I consider this a good thing. If you’re trying to write for everyone, chances are you will reach no one. The truth is, I would much rather have a readership of 50 people for whom my writing is a high point in their day, than have a subscriber list of 100,000 who view my emails more as spam than anything else.
So here’s the deal, if you find yourself deleting my emails more often than you open them, then please, feel free to unsubscribe. I don’t want to be a mosquito to you. Simply send me an email HERE with the subject line “Unsubscribe” and I will take care of you.
Leading a small, engaged, connected, and passionate group gives you far more leverage than being the inbox equivalent of a mosquito to millions of people who couldn’t care less about what you are making.
