"I have to do that today."
This feels like a very useful thing to say, but it doesn't actually get the job any closer to being done. Whether it's going to the grocery store or applying to college, it doesn't matter the magnitude of the task, unless it is attached to a time, a place and a date, it probably won't get done.
This statement should always be accompanied by questions like, "How am I gonna do it?" "What time am I gonna do it?" "Can I do it myself, or do I need someone to do it for me?"
Intention does not equal action, and intention without action rarely brings forth results.
