I’m sitting here watching the news and I’m not impressed. In fact, it shocks me sometimes what these stations deem to be newsworthy.
I don’t care what Aaron Rodgers is tweeting.
The bulldog on the skateboard is cute, but that’s about it.
Another armed robbery is certainly sad, but unfortunately, it’s not anything new or rare.
You can’t tell me with any real certainty what the weather will be like ten days from now.
You know what I think is newsworthy?
A mother who finds patience with her children even after a long day at work.
The terrified musician who finally started sharing his music online.
The entrepreneur who is taking her idea and transforming it into action.
The widow who makes home cooked meals and delivers them to college freshman during finals time.
These things are important, and unfortunately, they happen far too rarely.
These things are newsworthy.
