The second, and I think more popular way to hide is in a crowd. Doing whatever we can to fit in is a great strategy for fading away into obscurity. In obscurity, we coast by on a steady diet of mediocrity with a side of average. If we can’t be singled out, then nothing can be expected from us.
Blending in can be just as dangerous as not showing up at all. Both are an attempt to avoid being seen, avoid responsibility, and avoid sharing our work.
